1) TWO WINNERS OF THE FIRST/LAST TRY COMPETITION

The eighth round of the competition – Llandovery v Bedwas – saw two winners. The first try by No 8 Emyr Price got Tony Williams £50 and the last try was scored by replacement Scott Maynard (No 23) who earned his father Anthony Maynard another £50.
The next round is at the Llandovery v Aberavon game on Feb 2 2019

2) 23 CLUB RULES REMINDER

i) Please note that the first and last tryscorer competition is confined to home league games and does not operate for home Cup games
ii) However, please note that free entry for member + guest is for both league and Cup games

3) END OF SEASON 23 CLUB GALA DINNER

The date of the all inclusive black tie dinner for member + one guest is Friday 10 May 2019. Please mark it in your diary.
Non 23 Club members will be able to purchase tickets for the dinner at £50 a head (to include 3 course meal, all wines and beers)
As the dinner will be limited to 100 people, anyone outside the club wishing to attend the dinner can book ahead with Gina at droversrfc@gmail.com or telephone 01550 721110 in office hours.
Similarly 23 Club members intending to bring along extra paying guests should book ahead with Gina
Euros Evans, Simon Davies and Gareth Potter and wives will be guests at the dinner and the three coaches have agreed to do a 45 minute Questions and Answers session for 23 Club members and guests.

4) 10% DISCOUNT

West End Cafe continues to offer all 23 Club members a discount of 10% on food and beverage purchased at the cafe. Claim your 10% on production of your membership card.

5) TICKET ALLOCATION

Most members used their free ticket allocation for one of the Autumn internationals.Those who have not yet taken up their allocation and wishing to go to either Wales v England or Wales v Ireland should get in touch with Gina immediately

6) ODDS

Bookmakers gave Bedwas a + 25 handicap start on Saturday but the Drovers won by only 21 points against tough opponents so those who backed Llandovery to beat the handicap had a fruitless day.

Bookmakers Paddy Power, Betfair Sportsbook, Skybet and Bet 365 are all now offering both match and handicap odds on Principality games.
