23 Club Newsletter No 9

1) NO WINNERS OF THE FIRST/LAST TRY COMPETITION
The ninth round of the competition – Llandovery v Bridgend – saw no winners. The only try the Drovers managed was a penalty try and by the terms of the competition a penalty try does not count for first or last tryscorer.
The next round is at the Llandovery v Swansea game on March 8 2019
2) 23 CLUB RULES REMINDER
i) Please note that the first and last tryscorer competition is confined to home league games and does not operate for home Cup games
ii) However, please note that free entry for member + guest is for both league and Cup games
3) END OF SEASON 23 CLUB GALA DINNER

Please note the clarification for the May 10 dinner

23 Club members are reminded that the all inclusive 23 Club Gala Dinner (free for members + one guest) is on Friday May 10, 2019 – 7 00 for 7 30 pm

Coaches Euros Evans, Simon Davies and Gareth Potter have agreed to do a question and answer session on the evening.

For catering purposes members are kindly asked to confirm with Gina their attendance at the clubhouse on May 10

Also to let us know if they intend to bring an extra guest or guests for which they will be charged at £50 per head all inclusive

Members are encouraged to bring extra guests along or to ask rugby friends/players who might be interested.

The attendance at the dinner will be limited however to 100 in toto.

Please let Gina know on 01550 72110 or email droversrfc@gmail.com

4) 10% DISCOUNT

West End Cafe continues to offer all 23 Club members a discount of 10% on food and
beverage purchased at the cafe. Claim your 10% on production of your membership card.

5) TICKET ALLOCATION

Most members used their free ticket allocation for one of the Autumn internationals.
Those who have not yet taken up their allocation and wishing to go to either Wales v England
or Wales v Ireland should get in touch with Gina immediately

6) ODDS
Bookmakers gave Bridgend a + 13 handicap start on Saturday but the Drovers were well beaten so those who backed Llandovery to beat the handicap had a bad day.

Bookmakers Paddy Power, Betfair Sportsbook, Skybet and Bet 365 are all now offering both match and handicap odds on Principality games.
