It’s 50 each for Jack and Berian

By Bryan Weaver | 07/03/2017

Saturday’s result may not have gone the way either would have wanted but, on the plus side, the Cup match against RGC 1404 saw the 50th Drovers appearance for both Jack Maynard and Berian Watkins.

Tight head prop Berian joined the Drovers in the latter part of the 2014/15 season, and has also played for Kidwelly and Furnace. In a recent Q&A session his answer to the question “If you were stranded on a desert island, what 3 items would you want with you?” was “Food, Food and more Food” but his speed on the pitch somewhat belies that answer.

Outside half Jack’s 50 appearances are complemented by a 465 point haul over the two seasons he has been with us – 14 tries, 110 conversions, 62 penalties and a drop goal. At the end of his first season at Church Bank he was named both the 1st XV Players’ Player of the Year, and Supporters' Player of the Year at the Club’s Annual Award ceremony. He was also the Top Points Scorer in the Premiership that season.

Congratulations to both Berian and Jack on hitting the 50 mark.
