2nd XV through to Llanelli and District Cup Final

By Bryan Weaver | 11/03/2017

A one-point differential against Carmarthen Druids was enough to see the Llandovery 2nd XV through to the Llanelli and District Cup Final at the Carmarthen Athletic ground.

Things looked a bit bleak for the Drovers in the early stages, as the Druids went 10-0 up through two tries. But a try from Gareth ‘Dent’ Davies, converted by captain Celfyn Davies, narrowed the margin to 10-7.

The Druids widened the gap with a penalty, but a second Llandovery try, from Richie Elliott, again converted by Celfyn Davies, was enough for the Drovers to edge the game 13 – 14.

Llandovery now meet Ferryside in the Final, on Saturday 20 May, at Parc y Scarlets. Let’s get down there and give them the Town’s support!
