Aaron hits 100 and Jake 50

The Away game at Bedwas last weekend was the occasion of Aaron Warren’s 100th appearance for Llandovery RFC and Jake Baker’s 50th.

Winger Aaron’s first game for the Drovers was back in the 2011/12 season and he has a remarkable strike rate of scoring 42 tries in his 100 games – including one in last weekend’s game. He has played for two regions during his career to date – the Scarlets and Newport – and has represented the Premiership Select side for both regions in the B&I Cup.

Ammanford product Jake Baker first appeared for the Drovers in 2013/14, becoming a regular alongside Bryn Griffiths in the second row in the last two seasons. Jake came up through the Scarlets U16 and U18 programme.

At the young ages of 23 and 22 respectively Aaron and Jake are outstanding examples of the Drovers’ policy of developing players with potential for Premiership rugby.
