Lee leads Drovers to 4th National 7s triumph

By Bryan Weaver | 28/05/2017

The question on the street last week was ‘Can the Drovers do it, four National 7s titles in a row?”. Well, Yes, they could.

Llandovery 7s Captain Lee Rees led his team superbly through the rounds, including a very close semi-final against local rivals Carmarthen Quins – and Llandovery then took the title in a convincing scoreline of 33 – 24 against Aberavon, with Lee being named Player of the Tournament.

So it’s Congratulations, again, to our impressive 7s squad, and on to next year.

Round 1: v Neath, won 45 - 0

Quarter Final: v Swansea, won 24 - 5

Semi Final: v Carmarthen Quins, won 22-21

Final: v Aberavon, won 33 - 24

A fuller report on the day will be uploaded later this week.
