Llandovery to the Manor: Tom Walker Charity Walk

By Bryan Weaver | 28/11/2017

A special message and request for your help, from the many friends of Tom Walker who are rallying round to assist Tom and his family

It's only a few days to go until the big event on Saturday 2 December which will see a number of Tom’s good friends walking from Llandovery to the Celtic Manor, crossing the Brecon Beacons and Pen Y Fan in the process.

A huge total of 67 miles in less than 24 hrs walking throughout the night !!

Thank you for all the donations, almost £8500 has been raised so far...it's been amazing support and really appreciated and will go a long way to helping Tom and his family.

You can still donate at www.gofundme.com/raising-funds-for-tom-walker

We're now finalising plans for Saturday 2nd and the after party which will take place at the "Via Julia" suite at the Celtic Manor Golf Club at 19:00pm.

There will be a buffet and the bar will be open so please join Tom and his friends and family. It will also be a good chance to have a laugh at the walkers and the state of their feet !!

We will be setting out from Llandovery RFC Clubhouse 630 -7pm on Friday evening and look forward to as many people coming to give us a rousing sendoff as can manage to get there.

For those wanting to walk with us on the Saturday we're hoping to be at the below locations at roughly the times stated...

Tom’s house in Penallta - 10:00am - 14 miles to Celtic Manor

Bryn Meadows Golf Club - 11:00am - 16 Mile walk to Celtic Manor

Tiny Rebel Brewery, Rogerstone - 15:00pm - 6 Mile walk

The Greyhound inn, Christchurch, Newport - 18:30pm - 1 mile to the Golf Club...

We want as many friends and family as possible to join us on the Saturday and afterwards at the golf club.

See you at the weekend

Thanks, Rich and team !!!
