Tom Walker fund raising update
By Bryan Weaver | 06/12/2017
We are very grateful for this message sent to Drovers President Handel Davies, from Richard John organiser of the 67 mile walk last Friday.
Please note: The Justgiving page set up by Richard and friends to receive donations to support Tom and his family is still open, at www.gofundme.com/raising-funds-for-tom-walker. If you haven’t yet had a chance to contribute, please do so.
Just a quick message to say a huge thank you for helping to organise such a fantastic send off on Friday for the boys. I'll write a formal thank you later this week for yourself and also the club however I can't thank you all enough.
You certainly helped make some amazing memories for both the lads and Tom has enjoyed seeing the photos from the club.
I made special mention to both yourself and the rugby club in my speech so thank you. I'd be grateful if you could pass onto all those involved Friday.
I look forward to seeing you all again in a few weeks.
I will leave you with this which has touched me and sums up Tom’s spirit and fighting character. It's a message from someone who has donated to our page : "I would like to wish Tom all the best for the future. He won’t remember me, but I played rugby against him many times and he was a tough competitor. When I read his story I was shocked to hear of his condition so wanted to contribute in any way I can"
