Club Awards 17-18

During May and June 2018 Llandovery RFC presented its annual Awards for 2017-18 ceremonies at Church Bank. Thank you to Wyn Jones, who sadly due to his tour ending injury in Argentina, was able to present the awards. Speedy recovery on your injury Wyn, from all at Church Bank. Gwellhad buan i ti Wyn!

Youth XV Players’ Player of the Year –Tom Davies

Youth XV Player of the Year – Rhodri Williams

2nd XV Player of the Year – Sion Windebank

1st XV Player of the Year – Rhodri Jones


1st XV Players’ Player of the Year – Richard Brooks

1st XV Supporters' Player of the Year – Lee Rees

Most tries scored for 1st XV – Aaron Warren 

1st XV Most Improved Player – Jamie Hughes

Player Clubman of the Year – Tom Davies

(Gareth Twm Jones Memorial award) Club Ambassador of the Year – Dafydd Land and Harri Doel

Clubman of the Year – Rob Williams 

Outstanding Services to the Club – 1st XV Management


A couple of new awards were introduced this season in recognition of stalwarts of the club who are sadly no longer with us. Their awards’ and winners are below. The Club Ambassador trophy will also now be known as the (Gareth Twm Jones Memorial award) in recognition of the great ambassador that Twm was to Llandovery RFC over many decades.
