Date: Saturday, September 27, 2025

Competition: Super Rygbi Cymru (Round 3)

Venue: Stadiwm CSM, Colwyn Bay (Home of RGC 1404)

Final Score: RGC 1404 31 – 41 Llandovery

Llandovery continued their impressive start to the Super Rygbi Cymru season with a high-scoring victory over RGC 1404 in Colwyn Bay on Saturday, September 27, 2025. This was despite having four regular first teamers unavailable

The Drovers displayed clinical attacking rugby, particularly in the first half, to establish a commanding lead. They went into the interval ahead by a significant margin of 31-10 with tries from Finn Thomas, Aaron Warren, Adam Warren and Llien Morgan.

RGC mounted a spirited comeback in the second half, managing to cross the line four times to close the gap. However, the deficit from the first 40 minutes proved too much to overturn. Llandovery’s early dominance provided a crucial cushion, allowing them to withstand the pressure from the home side.

The final score stood at 41-31 to Llandovery, securing them a bonus-point victory. The result maintains Llandovery’s strong position in the early Super Rygbi Cymru standings. RGC, despite the defeat, earned a valuable four-try bonus point and a losing bonus point for finishing within seven points of the winners.

This fixture was part of a busy Saturday of Super Rygbi Cymru action which also saw Carmarthen Quins defeat Pontypool, Ebbw Vale overpower Cardiff, and Swansea edge out Newport in a tight contest.
