  • The date of the home game against Cardiff on September 30 has been changed to Thursday evening September 28 at the request of S4C.

As a result, the first 25 Club hospitality lunch will now be on Saturday October 21 on the occasion of the home game against RGC.

The home fixture against Carmarthen Quins in December is confirmed a hospitality day and there will be another after Christmas, date to be decided upon.

That third hospitality day is likely to be on March 2 2024 when the visitors will be Bridgend RFC. This date is to be confirmed.

  • Of interest to members will be news of the first/last try scorer in the 54-31 win at Carmarthen Quins.

If that had been a home game, then Tony Williams (12) and Paul Adams (20) would have been the lucky winners after the first try by Rhodri Jones and the last try by replacement Nathan Hart.

The competition starts this week with the home game against Merthyr (KO 2 30 pm).

  • On production of their membership card, 25 Club members can take advantage of a 10% discount when eating in at The West End Café. Many thanks to café owner Mark Vince.

  • Bookmakers Dragonbet (dragonbet.co.uk) will be offering odds on all Llandovery games in the Premiership. Last Saturday they gave Carmarthen Quins a 12 point start against the Drovers.

Llandovery won by a margin of 23 (54-31) so a number of 25 Club members who backed Llandovery to win by over 12 points were celebrating in Carmarthen on Saturday evening.
