- FIRST/LAST TRY COMPETITION
In the third of the first/last try competitions of the season (Llandovery v RGC), the winners were Mark Vince (13) and Dai Thomas (15).
Centre Adam Warren scored the first try to the £50 benefit of Mark Vince and full back Tomi Lewis crossed for the last Llandovery try to earn Dai Thomas the other £50.
Mark was unable to be with us but Tomi Lewis presented Dai Thomas with his winnings of £50 in the main bar after the game.
The fourth round of the competition will be on October 28 on the occasion of the Llandovery v Neath game.
In the 25 Club correct score competition, the winner was Mrs Kate Morgan who was only four points off the correct score of 50-19. She took the £65 prize.
- DISCOUNT
On production of their membership card, 25 Club members can take advantage of a 10% discount when eating in at The West End Café. Many thanks to café owner Mark Vince.
- DRAGONBET
Bookmakers Dragonbet (dragonbet.co.uk) offered odds on the Llandovery v RGC. They gave the North Walians a 24 point start against the Drovers.
Llandovery won by a margin of 31 (50-19) so a number of 25 Club members who backed the team to win by over 25 points were in the money.
- SIX NATIONS
Members can now apply for their pair of complimentary tickets for any one of Wales’s home games in the 2024 Six Nations.
Wales v Scotland Feb 3; Wales v France March 12; Wales v Italy March 16.
