Drovers Fixture Updates 2022

Feb 3 2022 DROVERS FIXTURE UPDATE

Llandovery secretary Robin Barlow has been able to reschedule all but two of the Indigo Premiership league and cup games writes Huw S Thomas.

The dates for the home game against Bridgend and the away game at Ebbw Vale are yet to be announced.

Both league and cup programmes have been badly hit by the covid outbreak and club secretaries up and down the country have had a real job on their hands in fixing the re-arranged games.

The Drovers have home fixtures against Pontypridd in the league and cup and dates have been fixed for both

After much discussion between the clubs, the league game – once set for March 12 – has been moved to Sunday February 27 and March 12 is now confirmed as the date for the quarter final of the cup.

Llandovery’s revamped programme leaves the club with a guaranteed ten fixtures to fulfil – three home games and six away games in the league – plus the one home game in the cup.

If Llandovery were to beat Pontypridd in the cup quarter final they would have a semi –final  on neutral territory and possibly a final to play at the Principality Stadium.

League fixtures plus the Indigo Cup game marked with an asterisk

Feb 19 Merthyr (a); Feb 27 Pontypridd (h); March 5 Swansea (a); *March 12 Pontypridd (h) ; March 26 Llanelli (a); April 2 Cardiff (h); April 9 Aberavon (a); April 15 Carmarthen Quins (a)
