Dec 10 2023 25 CLUB NEWSLETTER NO 9 2023-2024

Please note that there is a separate 25 Club page on the Llandovery RFC web site with a drop down menu for newsletters. There is also a separate page for match reports.

  • CHANGE OF DATE

The next hospitality lunch for the 25 Club will be this Saturday December 16 on the occasion of the Indigo Premiership game between Llandovery and Aberavon.

If you have not already done so, please let Gina know asap if you will be attending with or without a guest.

Food and drink will be served from 1 00 pm onwards

  • FIRST/LAST TRY COMPETITION

As the Llandovery v Aberavon game was a Cup match, there was no first/last try competition for 25 Club members. The competition runs on Premiership league games alone.

The seventh round of the competition will be on December 16 on the occasion of the Llandovery v Aberavon league game.

  • DISCOUNT

On production of their membership card, 25 Club members can take advantage of a 10% discount when eating in at The West End Café.

Ozzy’s have also generously offered a 10% discount on purchases.

  • DRAGONBET

Bookmakers Dragonbet (dragonbet.co.uk) offered odds on the Llandovery v Aberavon game.

They gave the Wizards a 23 point handicap start against the Drovers.

Llandovery won by a margin of 55 (58-3) so a number of 25 Club members who backed the team to win by over 23 points were well in the money.

The Drovers have covered every handicap – bar one – in this year’s Premiership, making them the team to follow if you like a punt.

  • SIX NATIONS

Members can now apply for their pair of complimentary tickets for any one of Wales’s home games in the 2024 Six Nations.

Wales v Scotland Saturday Feb 3; Wales v France Sunday March 10; Wales v Italy Saturday March 16.

Please send requests to Gina at the club, the sooner the better.
