25 CLUB NEWSLETTER NO 3 2024-2025

Please note that there is a separate 25 Club page on the Llandovery RFC web site with a drop down menu for newsletters. There is also a separate page for match reports.

1) HOSPITALITY

The first hospitality day of the year on Saturday November 23 went ahead despite the unfortunate postponement of the game against Cardiff.

Members were, however, delighted to learn that Honorary 25 Club Member John Herring had treated all members to a free copy of Blwddyn Bythgoviadwy, A Chronicle Of An Unforgettable Season, signed by the author.

The launch of the book, scheduled for a spot after the Llandovery – Cardiff had to be brought forward as part of the 25 Club function but books will be on sale (£20) before and after every home game, starting with the SRC clash with Bridgend on November 30.

Players and coaches will be ready and willing, post match, to sign their names on the Autograph section on page 129.

NB Apologies re change of date. On the request from the Board of Directors to change the date of the next hospitality, there will be no pre-match function on December 21 (Llandovery v Quins)

In its place will be hospitality before the Llandovery v Newport SRC game on January 4, 2025. More details nearer the date.

A further hospitality day will be announced in the New Year but likely to be a SRC Cup match.

The end of season Gala Dinner will take place sometime in May 2025, date not yet fixed.

2) DISCOUNT

On production of their membership card, 25 Club members can take advantage of a 10% discount when eating in at The West End Café.

3) TICKETS

Orders for two tickets for Six Nations internationals should be placed with Gina as soon as possible.

4) MEMBERSHIP BOOKS

A reminder that a number of members have not picked up their membership books; they can be collected at the office at your convenience.
