CARMARTHENSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL MARK LLANDOVERY ACHIEVEMENT


CARMARTHENSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL honoured Llandovery RFC’s achievement of winning the 2022-2023 Indigo Premiership by inviting club representatives to a reception at County Hall, Carmarthen writes Huw S Thomas. 

The Drovers won the Premiership play off in beating 24-8 Cardiff at the Principality Stadium back in May and received warm congratulations from CCC Chair Louvain Roberts .

“A wonderful achievement for the club and everyone involved in it “ said Roberts.

“It is a source of pride for Carmarthenshire that one of its clubs can win a national title and  competition  in the face of challenges from Wales’s oldest and most famous  rugby clubs”

“The hard work of everyone involved in the club from Head coach Euros Evans through to all the club volunteers and committee has been well rewarded”.

The East Carmarthenshire rugby club look to be in pole position for the annual award for Carmarthenshire Team of the Year
