Long time Drovers supporters John and Menna Davies have been announced the winners of the prize quiz that appeared in the book Blwyddyn Bythgofiadwy – Chronicle of an Unforgettable Season which celebrated Llandovery RFC’s annus mirabilis
A native of nearby Cynghordy, John Davies played centre for Maesteg and Llandovery before being appointed Headmaster of Llandovery Primary School and is the brother of Club President Handel Davies.
They win on all-inclusive meal for 4 people at the 25 Club Gala dinner in May, 2025.
Of the 21 entries, there were four to score 9 out of 10 – Margaret Davies, Handel Davies, Ian Williams (Riley Sports) and John/Menna Davies – but it was the latter whose names came out of the hat when lots were drawn.
